Hello my friends,
I know, I keep optimistically signing up for these things, but what the heck?
Amazon has called a contest for stories published before the 19th of May. My latest book, Deadshepherd, is eligible. It’s another nice opportunity for utterly unknown independent authors like me to see some sort of recognition and assistance in our epic struggle to show that we can actually write good stuff.
What do you need to do?
Well, part of the criteria they’re using in the first round is customer ratings. Now this is more of the “if nobody knows you exist, this whole thing is bullshit” standard approach, but okay, it’s what they’re doing and there’s well over a thousand entries so far.
So what I’d love for you to do is jump onto Amazon and write a review for this book.
That’s a link to the e-book, I don’t know if it makes a difference if you review the paperback but anyway, that’s it.
I totally understand, of course, that there’s not much time to read the book. If you don’t want to drop me some stars and write a couple of kind words because you haven’t read the book, that’s fine.
If you want to mention in the review that you’ve read some other writings of mine (most of you know me in text form and I’ve been writing for twenty years or so, there must be something), that’s great too.
If you want to grab this e-book, scroll through it and give a first impression, awesome. I’ll try to make it cheap or free in the next few days if I can, to help you.
But please get on Amazon and review!
The good news is that the top reviewed books in this contest only have 30 or 40 reviews, and I have something like ten times that number of online friends and followers, so this should be easy … right?
