For the Horde, Part 4

Day 35. 132 pages, 60,382 words. I’m going to assume that I’m not getting anything added at this point, although I am close to completing Part Two.

It came to pass that even though
My thirst for conquest heightened
No longer could I freely sow
By force I was enlightened.

And so the years went marching on
My army’s numbers steady
Preventatives I had to don
When time and mood was ready.

In all it was no sacrifice
To cast my hordes away
Truth be told, it felt quite nice
My passions held at bay.

It’s funny, when I originally started reading Part 1, I thought this was about Brutan, the genius warlord of ancient times in the TFFOM universe. (The mobile layout doesn’t show tags or categories, so I couldn’t tell whether this was tagged to Pinian.)

That interpretative frame lasted a while. I gotta say it was a struggle.

I wonder if this is the first time anyone’s blogged a poem about their sterilization? Or just generally a poem celebrating their sperm?
