The winning score, incidentally, was 12. Contestants were given … I don’t know, half an hour or so? I was drunk.

Also, this was the best WordPress and MS Word could do together to make the quiz bulleted-list / numbered-list thing work. Formatting it to even this level of quality took lomger than writing an actual post would have.

I would have gotten 12 in just 1 minute right now, off the regular questions. Probably. As to the bonus questions, my brain is being tickled on them. Saturday Night Live: Jaws whatever-it-was, Land Shark?

For some reason “Timok” is in my head, that can’t be right, for the deity. I just made that up didn’t I?

Blanking on the other 2 for now, probably wouldn’t remember in half an hour, either. But I’m just going to declare victory and leave. You know me.

Heh, I’m afraid you must have, although it is definitely cool – but no, Timo didn’t get a deity named after him. In fact, it is an unfair question to ask you because a) you don’t know my coworkers and b) it requires reasonable grasp of Finnish. So it really was a bonus question that I didn’t expect anyone to get.

The bonuses are worth going for, though. The winner this time, I’m pretty sure, won on bonuses. She got the “Area 51” reference (Operation Mogul).

The SNL reference, FYI, was “Well would you look at that, it’s my tick in a box.”

      • aaronthepatriot says:

Wow ok I feel no shame over the Area 51, never heard of that Operation Mogul. As for tick in a box, I am ashamed. My second favorite SNL short, that is.

dreameling, FYI, “Dick in a Box” is the SNL video that “precedes” “Motherlover”, with the same male stars. It’s also hilarious. The boxes for said dicks are discarded in front of the police station, at the beginning of “Motherlover”. As you may have noticed.

Apologies if you knew all of this XD

      • stchucky says:

Yeah, I didn’t actually know about it either until I researched it in the course of writing. It was the name of the weather balloon project that everyone thought was a UFO. And if you believe that, you’ll believe anything, man.

  2. dreameling says:

Not sure I would’ve gotten 12. But I did spot the Star Wars reference!
