I was momentarily concerned that there was a Christian nutbag who had come to much the same conclusion … but was saying all this as if it was a bad thing for some reason.

So, I agree with the nutbags, but my reaction couldn’t be more different.

“Disney’s Frozen may not have intended for one of the main characters, Elsa, to have a story that is such an easy parallel to the world of growing up in the closet, but it happened,” he writes. “It happened, and now we’re gonna celebrate.” – Ryan C Robert

And like I say, this was by no means (in my opinion) a ground-breaking or issue-resolving story. Neither feminism nor gay activism can stop now this film is out. It may have been a small step in the right direction, but let’s not go nuts.

And a special thanks to disneyscreencaps.com for the use of their excellent caps. I will be going back to that site, even if Edpool doesn’t.

LMAO this was so awesome! I thought you warned of a decrease in your attention to this blog, but from where I’m standing, things are looking up! So sad dreameling can’t read this yet!

But I have to nitpick about the sauna…come on that’s obviously Hilda his Valkyrie wife. A dude that big isn’t going to marry a wisp of a girl, after all.

Was just about to ask if this one contains spoilers…

My Frozen blu-ray arrived from Amazon last week. Now, if only we could steal two hours of evening peace…

      • stchucky says:

Heh, spoilers, yeah. And I was going to suggest you take your movie-times when you get the peace and don’t wait for an evening session that may be a while coming … but then I remembered you have to work. Damn.

I’d also suggest the “get up at 3:30am and do three hours’ dreameling-time before work” approach, but too much of that and you will have a psychotic episode.

I know, right? Kinda wish I was still on paternity leave…

I normally go to bed between 23:00 and 00:00, so with 3,5-4,5 hours of sleepy time per day I’d snap in a week. 🙂 Need to figure out a schedule for me-time at some point, though.

Also, a separate space for me-time would be nice. I envy your workroom, since you have proper physical separation from the domestic hub. There was this day-time home renovation and decoration show where a couple was building this small yet fully-equipped and completely modern work cottage in their backyard. Seemed totally awesome. (Of course, we’d need a private backyard first.)

Glad you enjoyed it, I felt confident you would. If you were as wimpy as me about your favourite films being picked on, I may have hesitated to bring Edpool into it, but actually if anything this added (and pretty obvious) layer only increased my own appreciation for the film.

And Valkyrie wife. Oh my God, that never occurred to me and I love it. Her boobs are probably flattened by the (boobs-strictly-ornamental) breastplate, ja?

As for my productivity, yeah, I’ve been lucky and these just popped up (a few others, too). I’m in the narrow corridor of free time (filled with other activities but at least no guests) between my parents leaving and my brother arriving.
